Juicy and full-bodied ... the flavour sneaks up to you in the most delicious way. Black and purple fleshy-ripe plum aromas. The wine was aged 21 months in American and French oak to give a toasty vanilla-smoke finish.

Shiraz Malbec food pairings: osso bucco with gremolata, beef burgundy, hard and salty cheeses, roast prine rib with mushroom ragout.

Matt Loney rated this wine as 90/100
Single vineyard Malbec harvested October 7th, 2007 from the Niagara Lakeshore area, blended with 2007 Queenston Road Reserve Shiraz blend from the St. David’s Bench sub-appellation. This Shiraz/Malbec blend was inspired by a grape combo occasionally seen coming out of warmer climate new world wine regions.
Both wines were vinified separately, with each batch fermented in small one ton bins, with manual punchdown of the cap. Aged in oak barrels for 21 months.

Full bodied, with a slightly floral and spicy nose, flavours include, sage, black cherry, vanilla and black peppercorn.
