Creekside Backyard Block 2016 is a well-priced Sauvignon Blanc with wine grapes sourced from Creek Shores, Niagara Peninsula wine region. On the nose and palate, there are lemongrass, lime, herbs, and a flinty minerality. Creekside Sauvignon Blanc sources grapes grown behind the winery, thus the name Backyard. A great Sauvignon Blanc to pair with grilled veggies.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Fun and bright. Gooseberries and zesty stone minerals with lingering light citrus touches with a delicate touch of clay. Light bodied and refreshing. This is a bright, lively and refreshing wine that begs for sunshine and a -backyard block- visit with neighbours, family and friends! Pair with mixed greens, salads and veggie burgers or simply enjoy by itself.
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A fresh and intense Sauvignon Blanc with a broad nose and palate covering freshly cut grass, grapefruit, citrus pith, guava, and passionfruit. Extra dry sporting only 2 g/l residual sugar and plenty of acidity despite the hot vintage. Fermented in three batches with different yeast strains before blending together; probably how such a wide array of characteristics were cleverly achieved. Set up on the deck or patio with scallop ceviche, green salad with goat cheese, or prosciutto-wrapped asparagus stuffed with feta and topped with lemon aioli.
Creekside Backyard Block 2016 is a well-priced Sauvignon Blanc with wine grapes sourced from Creek Shores, Niagara Peninsula wine region. On the nose there is fresh lemon and lime juice aromas with a whiff of fine herbs. On the palate, this SB is dry, mouth-watering with lemongrass, lime zest, light savoury herbs and grassy flavours. Creekside Sauvignon Blanc sources grapes grown behind the winery, thus the name Backyard. Great acidity for food, chill and pair it with a creamy fettucine or pasta Primavera dish. - Community Wine Reviews
