This 2016 Viognier from the North Coast of California by Cline Cellars is a brilliant gold colour with honey, ripe stonefruit and fruit salad on the nose and even more so on the palate. Simply lovely. Viognier's home is in the northern Rhone Valley, but it also thrives in California, especially in Sonoma. Viognier is known for its exotic and vibrantly perfumed aromatics. Lychee and rosewater and baking spices, especially nutmeg. A floral white wine with good balance and a nice finish. Try it with mild curries and Asian dishes. Good price.

This is a great value Viognier from the North Coast of California. Cline 2015 is value under $20 with its lush peach and apricot flavours finishing long and zesty with silky acacia honey and honeysuckle on the palate. Very tasty and can be had on its own or pair with a roast duck and apricot dish. - Community Wine Reviews
