Château Ksara, Réserve Du Couvent 2019 is produced from Lebanon's largest, oldest winery at 160-plus years of age. The wine is a robust and muscular red crafted from Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon wine grapes sourced from the Bekaa Valley. Grapes were hand-harvested and the Cabernet Sauvignon spent six months in French oak barrels prior to the final blend. Look for blackcurrant, cherry, red berries, bell pepper and dark spices savoury and velvety on the palate. Enjoy with tourtiere.

Food pairings: meat lover's pizza, veal Parmesan, chicken Kiev.

Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a deep purple blend of 40% Syrah, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc from Bekaa Valley in lebanon. The wine has an intense nose of blackberry, black cherry, black plum, with black pepper, a hint of garrigue (dusty spice and herb), wet stone, tobacco and some bell pepper. It is dry, with medium+ acidity, medium+ tannin and a full body. I enjoyed it with grilled steak and on its own; the black fruit is delicious with the hint of spice and herb.
