Julia Kelada rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

<li>For me this was such a welcoming surprise of character. I personally love Cahors wines, I find they have good presence, don't attack your palate, easy drinking without food. So when I opened this bottle late one night, I was so pleasantly surprised that it was warm and welcoming and I shall boldly say nurturing to my mood!

I love the wine with or with out food, it is a great wine to have at the table for a wonderful Sunday roast beef with Yorkshire puddings, a wine that can hold its own yet marry in with any classic beef.
For me, although we always like to find price gems, I must say that I thought that this wine was a well priced value for money. I gave this wine a 94 and a congrats to the wine maker, I think you made a winner!

On the nose there are warm fruits of cherries and plums mixed in with a lighter, tarter redcurrants. The we're a lot of toasted notes, mainly toasted nuts. A slight floral presence of blossom and then a mellow caramel apple tone.

On the palate there are rich black berries. Cooked plums, fresh figs, casis and tart cherries. The oak of the barrel is mild with tones of vanilla. Licorice and tar swirl around before beautiful herbal notes of Cinamon and nutmeg. There was a white pepper finish. A curious fruity almost ending. There are good structured tannins and a good length. This full bodied dry wine has fantastic Malbec grape components. Bravo!
