|Sean O'Regan Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:|
Nov 21, 2013: Blind tasting NCSG Vintages pre-release. Deep ruby, purple tinged. Palate shows blackberry, cassis, dark chocolate, green herb, oak spice, leather, black cherry nose. Medium full body with currant, blackberry, graphite and spice. Good balance of fruit, acidity and slightly green tannins, this may improve with a few years cellaring and drink well for five more after.
|Deep colour, and dark in character, with an abundance of cassis, saltbush, olive and chary oak; the palate is densely packed with fruit and tannins and the fresh acidity provides energy on the bright medium-bodied finish. Drink until 2020. Score – 90. Source: Ben Edwards, winecompanion.com.au, July 10, 2013|
