Bodegas Nieto Senetiner Don Nicanor Malbec 2008 Wine Review
Natalie's Score: 88/100Vintages Wine Panel: From Bodegas Nieto Senetiner’s signature line, this glass-coating opaque-purple Malbec is appropriately bursting with personality. Bold aromas of tar, blackberry, blueberry and smoke are nicely replayed on the palate. Dry, with ripe fruit, voluptuous tannins and a core of balancing acidity. This medium-full-bodied wine will evolve over the next 3-5 years. If enjoying it now, its deliciously long, fruit-laden finish will leave you salivating for a marinated steak, cooked rare. My note: Full-bodied with a good concentrated core of blackberry and black plum favour and some violets on the finish. Very plush.
Malbec food pairings: rare marinated steak.
