Love this style: Old World classic. Aromas of leather, dried fruit and maturity. This is simple lovely and tastes older than the vintage in a good way.

Vivid ruby. Youthful, high-pitched aromas of red- and blackcurrant, cherry and fresh rose, with suggestions of baking spices and cured meat adding complexity. Juicy and precise, offering gently sweet red fruit flavours firmed by a zesty mineral spine. Finishes with strong cut and very good precision, repeating the floral note. Alejandro Fernandez told me that he harvested earlier than usual in this vintage, which explains this wine’s vivacity. Score: 91 Source: Josh Raynolds, International Wine Cellar

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
