Reviews and Ratings

Produced by Famille Laplace, Aydie L'origine 2015 is great value under $20. Deepest, brilliant red in the glass, dry and full-bodied, this robust southern French red is a blend of 70% Tannat and 30% Cabernet Franc grapes. Vinification is by separate plots and grape varieties with 80% of the wine brought up in stainless steel tank and 20 % aged in oak barrels for 12 months. On the nose, there are aromas of ripe black cherry, spice and earthy violets. The palate is showing blackberry, black cherry flavours with savoury herbs and sweet cake spice throughout, a smattering of pepper and vanilla finish. Pair with roast duck. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
