What a racy, exciting nose of fleshy black fruit blowing in a brisk fall wind. Catch that? Yum. Full-bodied and rich, with mouth-watering juiciness and a good grip from tannins on the palate. Aromas and flavours of black plums, anise and dark spice. Savoury, meaty, chewy. Use a fork. This full-bodied red wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Sangiovese grapes. The Agriano estate takes its name from the Roman god Janus, whose two faces looked to the future and to the past – perfect for a producer of DOC and IGT wines. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, undated.
