Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 99/100 with the following review:

My absolute favourite Speyside Scotch! This bottle is a gem for an NAS (no age statement) Single Barrel Speyside Scotch! So complex, so rich, round, and so delicious. Heavenly aromas include: roasted hazelnuts, almonds, salted caramel, apricot jam, vanilla, baking spices (nutmeg, all spice), baked apple, and candied orange peel. When cut with a few drops of water (remember its 60% folks!) you'll find flavours of sweet cereal, pralines, orange peel, Oloroso Sherry, and somewhat of a buttered raisin bread. The layers of flavours go on and on!
- Full Bodied
- Smooth alcohol integration (with water)
- Long Finish (cereal, candied orange peel, and pralines)
- Rich & Round Flavour Camp
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Deep and dense copper. Heaven on the nose and on the palate. An amazing Highland Scotch with complex aromatics. Hazelnut, maple syrup, tarte a sucre, savoury, baking spice, full bodied. Recommend slight cut from 60% ABV with distilled water. @jonsteeves rated 94/100. Tasted Sept 2016.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
