Minty and savoury blackberry and cassis on the nose and palate of this vibrant, meaty Chilean red wine. Loaded with fleshy black plums, blueberries and nutmeg. Some smoke on the finish. Juicy, mouth-watering and smooth.

Reviews and Ratings

Bob Williams rated this wine as 92/100
Amplus is a Latin word that means important, honourable and distinguished. The grapes for this wine are grown in the Alto Maipo at high altitudes to add complexity and freshness. The 2010 vintage displays all the richness and finesse that comes out of Santa Ema's state-of-the-art winery that the Vintages Catalogue describes as looking like something out of science fiction to founder Pedro Pavone Voglino, who emigrated to Chile from Piedmont in 1917. Pair with rack of lamb. - Community Wine Reviews
