A bright, expressive white that embodies both vitality and finesse. Aromas of lemongrass, dried pineapple, guava, and a whisper of tropical mango greet the nose, (with gentle citrus florals tying it all together). On the palate, it’s dry and vibrant, revealing Meyer lemon, crisp green apple, white peach, and grapefruit pith, all framed by a well-rounded texture and a refreshingly zesty finish. This medium-bodied Sauvignon Blanc carries a generous alcohol of 14.3%, which adds extra ripeness and texture without tipping the balance. Serve it well chilled to maintain its lively fresh fruit character and lively energy. Fascinating fact: Winemaker Mary McDermott, who steered Township 7 through their challenging 2024 vintage, crafted the Interlude Series using fruit sourced from the historic Bacchus Vineyard in Washington—planted in 1972—in response to catastrophic cold damage to local vineyards. This Sauvignon Blanc shines in its youth—drink it now through 2027 to enjoy its zest and tropical clarity before those bright notes mellow. You can order this wine directly from the winery at www.township7.com. Pair it with chilled shellfish like mussels meunière—the wine’s citrus and minerality cut through the richness with a playful wink. Or enjoy it alongside an avocado-papaya salad, where the tropical fruit echoes the palate and the acidity keeps things crisp and lively.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: grilled chicken, fish tacos, creamy cheeses, charcuterie, salads.

Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

From Township 7 Vineyards and Winery, Interlude Series Sauvignon Blanc 2024 is one yummy, zingy and tasty Sauvignon Blanc! Pale lemon in the glass, this SB is fresh and fragrant with a beautiful nose of lemongrass, dried pineapple, mango, guava and citrusy notes. It is super fresh and ultra-balanced with stone fruit, tropical fruit notes with a mouth-wateringly long, minerally, white pepper and pithy grapefruit finish. Did it pair well with a mountain of mussels meuniere? You bet! Tasted June 2025.

The Interlude Series is Township’s 7 answer to the deep freeze they suffered in their Naramata Vineyards in December 2024 and January 2025 (Township 7 also has a winery and vineyard in Langley, on the coast of B.C, one hour east of Vancouver). This ‘Crafted in B.C.” wine was produced from grapes sourced from the historic Bacchus Vineyard in Washington, planted in 1972.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

I love this style of Sauvignon Blanc, vibrant and tropical. But more than that, I love this series, where BC wineries have partnered with grape growers and vineyards in Washington to purchase their grapes and produce a " made in BC" wine after a year when frosts and cold weather devastated BC vineyards. In this Sauvignon Blanc, there are aromas of pineapple, lemon, white peach, and a slight peppery hint. Light to medium bodied, with those beautiful tropical and citrus notes on the palate with a dry and slightly peppery finish.
