Beautiful concentration of lemon essence! Here's a dessert wine that's not cloying sweet, and will be perfect with lemon or poppy seed cake. Oh yum. Muscat grapes thrive in clay and volcanic, which brings out the floral essence in them and the finished wine, especially in dessert styles. The rolling hills of north-eastern Hungary provide excellent drainage for the vines planted on their slopes.

Yellow Muscat food pairings: lemon cake, poppy seed cake, smoked paprika chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This Yellow Muscat has a pretty floral rosewater & honeysuckle nose followed by a rich palate with honeysuckle, Lychee, rosewater, lemon and honey. Enticing long floral finish. Enjoy with Poppyseed Strudel or just sip it on its own; it's already a delightful dessert in a glass.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Beautiful bright yellow-gold color with succulent floral, citrus, apricot and honey aromas. Delectable on the palate with medium body and a long, apricot and citrus finish.
This seductive Hungarian dessert wines made from grapes planted in clay and volcanic soils of the northeastern region of the country. The Muscat grape thrives here. Great balance of acidity, sweetness and spices. - Community Wine Reviews
