Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A wine created using the traditional appassimento method of drying the grapes in Veneto to make Amarone. On the nose - dark jammy fruit, smoke and vanilla - it is rich and complex on the palate with well integrated flavors of blackberry, plum, cassis, dark chocolate, dried herbs, cedar and vanilla. Perfect served with rosemary crusted lamb or a hearty veal stew.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A value-priced Amarone with moderate mocha, plum, and spearmint notes. Flavours are pronounced with juicy ripe red plum, blackberry, cocoa and anise notes. Tannins are young and developing, acidity is moderate and balanced and finish is long with lasting mint and spice notes. Enjoy with smoked ham. Tasted by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
This Amarone Della Valpolicella is from the Veneto wine region. Farina Le Pezze Classico (2013) is just a big Italian red made in the traditional Appassimento method of drying the grapes in Veneto to make Amarone. The wine is rich, complex with dark cherry liqueur, black fruit, smoke and mocha on the palate. Drink now and often. - Community Wine Reviews
