Gato Negro's 9 Lives Reserve Red Blend is a super versatile wine that's sure to be enjoyed by all at your summer BBQ parties or throughout the year just unwinding after a busy day. A great price for a wine style that's loved by so man.

Deep ruby red with a purple hue this full bodied blend is jammed full of sweet dark berries dark plum, black currant, mocha, and cedar on the nose. The palate is rich and velvety smooth with more black plum and cedar on the finish. Terrific with BBQ'd ribs, burgers, charcoal grilled lamb or pork kebabs. Tasted June 2016. 88 points. Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

There's no 'bad luck" involved in pouring a glass of this wine. You'll be thanking your good luck for finding this Cab Sauv/Syrah blend from Chile. Cassis, dark fruit, cedar and savoury herbs on nose and again on palate, along with vanilla. Extra-dry, smooth and lots of cassis on the finish. Great VPB at only $11.95, so stock up for the holiday season-it's just around the corner.

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Ripe plum, cedar, smoke, and vanilla aromas. The taste is plum, raspberry and cedar and medium-low acidity. A smooth, rich blend that's perfect for cheeseburgers.
Bill Wright Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

This is a Chilean red blend. Youthful. Short finish of dark fruit.

Measured fruit with a focused sweetness. Classic Chilean chalky note runs through from start to finish.
