Full-bodied with so much going for it. On the nose this gold Chardonnay is baked apple dumpling, pear compote, fresh pastry and lemon. Love this Niagara Chardonnay: voluptuous but balanced. Chardonnay that is the liquid version of worn-in jeans. Comfy, familiar, just right. Almost full-bodied, this tongue-loving, caressing white wine will be perfect tonight when you kick back with some buttered popcorn and an old movie.

Chardonnay food pairings: pan fried scallops, spinach and pepper jack stuffed chicken, toasted ravioli served with Alfredo sauce.

Love the total package of this wine - the nose - apple, pear, butter and citrus notes - the mouthfeel is silky and elegant - lemon, apple, vanilla and sweet spice, - the hint of butter disappears with the zippy acidity - it is a great vintage from the admired Niagara producer. Well done!

Tasted Nov. 11th 2017. Colour brilliant golden yellow very elegant looking wine for the dinner table. Legs medium thick. Aromas and flavours, pear, white peach, apple, hint pineapple, vanilla, butterscotch. Taste, dry minus, medium plus mouthfeel (whole milk), mouthwatering, fruity tropical meets orchard in a bakery. Silky tannin. Finish long medium nice. I want to keep drinking this wine, because it has a freshness and balance that I enjoy in a white wine. Drinking the wine on its own very enjoyable. The price makes it out of reach for an everyday drinking wine unless you have a large income. I would like to try pairing the wine with creamy dishes of chicken or pasta. Nice wine I would buy it again. Praise for Niagara.

From Twenty Mile Bench on the Niagara Escarpment, Flat Rock The Rusty Shed (2014) Chardonnay is Full-bodied with baked apple dumpling, pear compote, baked apple pie and citrus on the nose. On the palate, ripe apple, ripe apricot and more fresh citrus flavours. The Chardonnay wine grapes for this wine were whole-bunch pressed and hand-plunged every six hours during fermentation to extract maximum fruit flavours. - Community Wine Reviews
