Chardonnay food pairings: scallops with a sesame ginger dressing, grilled seafood, spinach and pepper jack stuffed chicken, beef bourguignon, breads.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Sweet notes of caramel, vanilla and spice coming out of the glass - generous amounts of oak - the mouthfeel is full and luscious with a lengthy finish. Drink now.
Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A Chardonnay with lots of oak. Aromas of pineapple, banana candy, vanilla, butterscotch and a touch of citrus. Flavours of pineapple and candied tropical fruit as well as vanilla. It is a full bodied white that has a long finish.
Tasted October 2017
Wine grapes for this Napa Valley Chardonnay come from cool-climate, upper valley vineyards. Delicato Family Vineyards, First Press (2015) has a caramel, vanilla and smoky nose from generous oak ageing. On the palate the wine has great acidity with lemon curd, banana and vanilla toast. Pair with roast chicken or grilled pork chops. This vintage was awarded Silver at the 2017 International Wine & Spirit Competition and Gold for the 2017 Best of Show US White Mundus Vini competition. - Community Wine Reviews
