Reviews and Ratings

Gwen Barton rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Lemon and warm pastry nose. Soft mousse in the mouth. Tropical fruit flavours of pineapple, banana and apricot with floral notes. Wonderful refreshing g acidity. Long, buttery finish.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Get this by the case...crisp, brilliant pale yellow, traditional method vintage sparkling. This is a wine with exceptional value, and a crowd pleaser guaranteed. Offering fine bubbles, crisp mouthfeel, and a complex flavour profile of lees, lemon tart pastry shell, soaked fresh almond, white currant, and minerality. His wine deserves consideration for all occasions, easily accessible on its own and pairs wonderfully with almost anything. Tasted Sept 2016 paired well with fresh raw PEI oysters. @jonsteeves rated 90/100
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Moderate floral and citrus notes on the nose but intense developing overripe stone fruit, citrus and spice on the palate with a long lingering nutty butter tart finish. This sparkling packs some hefty acidity and a crisp body and mouthfeel. Pair with raw seafood.
This Californian sparkling wine was made using the Méthode Traditionnelle (same as Champagne). Domaine Carneros is owned by Champagne house Taittinger. The 2011 vintage was a cool one, which resulted in slow, even ripening of the grapes and lots of flavour. A crisp, fresh finish. - Community Wine Reviews
