Natalie's Score: 90/100 Produced from the winery's estate Las Terrazas Block in the Pirque Vineyard, this full-bodied Chilean red wine has flavours of blackberry jam and preserves, firm tannins and a sweet dark fruit finish. The vines were planted in 2003 in nutrient-poor alluvial, gravel and loam soils at 630-685 metres above sea level near the south bank of the Maipo River. Pair with roast beef.
Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled New York strip loin, hard cheese, braised pork shanks, veal chops.

Reviews and Ratings
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: Aromatically, this is one of the prettiest wines I have had from Concha Y Toro. It is planted in alluvial gravel from the left bank of the Maipo river, a perfect place to grow aromatic Cab Sauv. The colour is a bright ruby, with a deep core. Again, the aromas are striking and deep. Violet, cherry sauce, hickory, smoke, earth, tobacco, plum, and pure cassis. The flavours are rich and delicious. Much more red and black fruit. Cassis, cherry, smoke, and a slight brambley-green wildness. A high quality wine start-to-finish. 2014 was an awesome vintage for quality in Chile. The only problem is that it is also a very scarce vintage (early frost devastated yields in Casablanca, Rapel, and Maipo). Scarcity and demand mean this wine won't be around for long. Pick it up and hide it away for a half decade, or so. Put it with beef wellington, or grilled eggplant.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: A full bodied Chilean red with firm tannins and ripe flavors of blackberry, blueberry, black cherry, tobacco and cassis. The flavors mirror the nose; they are rich and plentiful. This wine would benefit from some decanting a couple hours prior to service to fully appreciate the amazing 2014 Vintage and the full potential of this wine.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Beautiful ruby deep and inky. On the nose, quite complex with coffee forever! Very Pinotage-ian with some dark plum, chocolate cake, cut grass and loads of fresh ripe green bell pepper! Flavours of light plum, dark cherry, vanilla, minerals and smoke. Lots of jammy pie filling notes too. M- acidity and tannins with a full body and finish, will pair well with local beef dishes, smoked meat and rustic stews.
From the Maipo Valley, Concha Y Toro Terrunyo (2014) Cabernet Sauvignon is robust with blackberry compote and dark spices. Wine grapes were sourced from the winery's Terrunyo Andes Pirque Vineyard, Las Terrazas Block. Cellar for a five years then decant 2 hours prior to serving. - Community Wine Reviews
