Purple plums and blueberry jam on the nose, with a firm tannic grip on the palate. This wine has potential for future vintages as the winemaker refines his craft. Pair with roast beef or grilled burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Dark fruit, mint and cocoa on the nose and palate, with noticeable tannins make this a good pairing for lamb dishes.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Black fruit and vanilla on the nose and palate with some dried herb on the finish.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Wow tannins! If you are eager, please decant! Peppery and grippy at first sip but layers of black berry fruit, graphite, dark chocolate and baking spices unfold through to quite a long finish. you may very want to cellar this red but if you are impatient pair with a fatty juicy flame grilled ribeye.
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby, plummy nose with mocha notes and some dusty mineral. Medium body, a little simple with some green herb and pepper to the currant and cherry fruit. Tannins are a little gritty on the medium finish. This one calls for a rib-eye with some fat to tame the tannins.
Philippe Perreault - Sommelier rated this wine as 82/100 with the following review:

Deep purple color.

A nose of ripe cherry and blackberry.

On the palate, the wine is chewy, full-bodied and very long.

Pair it with a rack of lamb or Italian sausage skewer.

Serve it at 15-17 degrees.

ready to drink but can be aged 3-4 years.
Olivier de Maisonneuve rated this wine as 81/100 with the following review:

Wow,i was expecting a more green nose! No, this is quite ripe currant,a hint of leather and black pepper. The mouth is much more difficult to tame. It is to be carafed for sure, or even better, forget it a few years in your cellar. It offers a very interesting possibility. To try again, for sure.

This Cabernet Sauvignon has been patiently crafted from grapes grown on the north end of our vineyards, where the clay soil and older vines yield smaller berries that are highly concentrated in flavours and stand up to a deft touch of oak aging. - Winery
This results in a full-bodied wine that is rich and robust with flavours of cassis, vanilla and spice, and a smooth lingering finish. Enjoy this wine with grilled or roasted meats like steak or prime rib. - Winery
