Solid value for the money here. This Chilean Cabernet is owned by Baron Philippe de Rothschild of the Bordeaux fame. That pedigree shows in the balance and layering of this red wine. Aromas of cedar brush, cassis and blackcurrant.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby colour. Medium to full bodied. Aromas of cassis, black currant and cherry. Spice and pepper on the nose as well. Fruity and spicy on the palate.
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Oct 5, 2014: Deep ruby, cassis, blackberry, mineral, dried herb and some white pepper. Medium body, soft and silky on the palate, blackberry, plummy and toasty, good acidity and light tannins with a medium bitter herb tinged finish. Herb crusted pork tenderloin would work nicely here.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

A little vegetal, with some green pepper, as well as black current, and black and wite pepper aromas. A nice juicy mouth feel with favours of tart cherry. Teh finish is balanced with some gripy tannins.
