Weszeli Felix 2019 Grüner Veltliner is produced from the Niederösterreich region in Austria. On the nose the wine is showing lovely aromas of soft lemon-lime zest and white pepper, light-bodied and spritzy on the palate with subtle mineral notes. Very refreshing. Chill and enjoy on its own or with spring greens salads.

Grüner Veltliner food pairings: salads, crab cakes, feta cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely. Aromas of zesty lemon and lime with hints of white pepper. Light-to-medium bodied on the palate, medium acidity and a great balance of fresh citrus and stony minerality along with just a hint of spice. Enjoy with fresh oysters or any shellfish.
L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Medium gold coloured white wine, dry, light to medium bodied, medium plus acidity and low alcohol. A pronounced aroma of bright lemon and white pepper, with pleasing salty tang and green herb notes. The palate features a lemon zest, white pepper and a subtle salty tang. Nice spritzy mouthfeel.Worked well with light nibbles of Asiago cheese, rosemary-apricot crackers and Gruyere cheese sticks; fennel was too strong for the wine. it would pair well with any shellfish brightened up with a splash of lemon.
Paula Bernardino rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This was my weekend wine pick: an awesome organic and vegan white wine from Austria, 100% Grüner veltliner. Nice golden colour in the glass. Aromas and flavours of white peach. Paired well with curry salmon as the spices blends well with this wine. 12% alcohol. Available at the SAQ (SAQ code: 13618521) at $18.75.
