Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Temperance from Westcott Vineyards is a blend of Gamay and Pinot Noir. A gorgeously coloured bright pale ruby red with a glistening fuchsia hue. Almost like a deeply coloured Rose. Aromas reveal red cherry, plum, smoke and earth. Flavours show raspberry and blueberry with rhubarb and anise herbs. Easy drinking, dry and light. Pair with glazed planked salmon, tuna tataki or smoked meat sandwiches.
Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Light ruby in colour with aromas of plum, black cherry and tobacco. It is light bodied with medium acidity and low tannins with black cherry and blackberry flavours and has a long red berry finish. It is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Gamay grapes. It is recommended to service it slightly chilled. Tasted on March 2, 2020 at Taste Ontario in Ottawa.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
