A full-bodied BC red wine blend of 33% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc and 10 Malbec grapes produced during a long hot summer, which in turn helped to create very high alcohol in this wine. Aromas of blackberry liqueur and mocha and toasty oak. Decant for 1 hour and pair with a rare steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Wow. Buy to his one by the case. What a gem of a find in quality and in value. After a hot summer this fruit has been vinified to 16.1% and is packed with density, depth of concentration and length of finish. Superb find. Well balanced with a big presence. Bold and persistent with complex aromatics and a structured palate. Pairs well with a rare steak and equally well with roast or braised red meats. Red fruit-forward with great breadth from light baking spices to plum and blackberry. Tasted 2015 vintage in Dec 2017. 92 points. Crowd pleasing, approachable, affordable. #buybythecase rated
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A beautiful Bordeaux style blend from Oliver, British Columbia’s VinAmite Cellars. This 2015 vintage is composed Merlot (33%) Cabernet Sauvignon (32%) Cabernet Franc (25%) and Malbec (10%) elegant and expressive with cassis fruit, dark plums, black cherries and strawberry chutney. The plush fruit is accompanied by smokey earthy spices and dark cocoa-laden chocolate that lingers throughout. Acidity is high but is met with an equally matching full body and rich, velvety tannins. A lusciously long finish with stone driven minerals and mouthwatering touches of pomegranate juice lingering in the background. A stellar example from BC. Decant 1 hour before enjoying this with a juicy steak. 91 points - Tasted August 2018
Glenn Funamoto rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

Excellent with a meatloaf on sweet potato mash. Very little bouquet, good legs. A little too tannic.
