Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From the well renown Compania Vinicola del Norte de Espana “CVNE” winery, located in the Rioja valley of Spain, the Vina Real Crianza 2016 reveals aromas sour cherry, sugarplum, mustard seed, pastrami, cinnamon, tobacco and oak. Made from 90% Tempranillo and 10% Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuela, this Spanish wine shows pleasant balance and a well-defined finish. Well suited for food pairing or after dinner, the Vina Real delivers flavors of cherry, strawberry, dried leaves, game, spice and oak.
From the Rioja wine region, Viña Real Crianza 2016 is a smoky, lip-smacking Tempranillo-driven red with ripe dark plum, ripe cherry, blackberry, dried herbs and baking spice flavours on the palate. Tannins are fine. Pair with a pork sausage cassoulet and roasted potatoes. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
