Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Vigno is a self-imposed quality designation by a number of Maule Valley winemakers specializing in old vine, dry farmed Carignan from the Maule Valley. This in an effort to differentiate their quality driven production from the bulk producers. The Eclat 2010 is a good representation of their efforts! A blend of 65% Carignan from vines 70 years old and 35% Mourvedre, this wine is an inky black in the glass. I has a beautiful nose of tobacco and smoke with a hint of violets no less. It is easy on the palate with soft tannins and rich dark fruits. There is a slight greenness on the medium length finish. This would stand up well to stews and dishes cooked low and slow. Drink now.
Valdivieso Éclat 2010 is produced from dry-farmed, old vines and a rich and robust red wine blend of mostly Carignan with 30% Mourvèdre. The wine was aged in new oak barrels. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
