Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Vigno is a self-imposed quality designation by a number of Maule Valley winemakers specializing in old vine, dry farmed Carignan from the Maule Valley. This in an effort to differentiate their quality driven production from the bulk producers. The Eclat 2010 is a good representation of their efforts! A blend of 65% Carignan from vines 70 years old and 35% Mourvedre, this wine is an inky black in the glass. I has a beautiful nose of tobacco and smoke with a hint of violets no less. It is easy on the palate with soft tannins and rich dark fruits. There is a slight greenness on the medium length finish. This would stand up well to stews and dishes cooked low and slow. Drink now.

Éclat is a Valdivieso old vines project in the Melozal part of the Maule Valley. Sixty year-old dry-farmed carignan is blended with mourvèdre and it can be imagined how much juicy spirit and energy this must have exuded in its formative years. Now at seven it’s a perfectly stable, mature and genuine young adult, with some dried fruit (strawberry, raspberry and currant) notes mixed into the splendid savour and faint tobacco smoulder. The carignan concentration is quite something, only matched by the tangy and earthy accents of the mourvèdre. Try this one on for size, with some confit or beef cheek, alone or bring it along to a group potluck when a bunch of disparate bottles will be opened. This aged Chilean won’t go unnoticed. Drink 2018-2022. Tasted January 2018.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
