Tsantali Reserve 2014 is a rustic and tannic red blend of Xinomavro, Krassato and Stavroto wine grapes from the vineyards of Rapsani (which sits at 600 metres above sea level) The wine is aged in French oak for one year. Rapsani is one of the four PDO regions in Greece featuring Xinomavro. Look for spicy berry, plum fruit and vanilla flavours on the palate. Pair with lamb burgers.

Rapsani food pairings: Greek marinated lamb ribs on the grill, souvlaki, spanakopita pie.

Reviews and Ratings

Tsantali Reserve 2014 is a rustic and tannic red blend of Xinomavro, Krassato and Stavroto hand-picked in the vineyards of Rapsani (which sits at 600 metres above sea level) and aged for 12 months in French oak. Rapsani is one of the four PDO regions in Greece featuring Xinomavro (Naoussa, Amyndeon, Goumenissa and Rapsani). It is the most southern one. In order for a wine to be acknowledged as a Rapsani PDO wine, there is a number of strict guidelines defined by the Royal Decree of 1971 and the Presidential Decrees that followed including authorized grape varieties, yields and winemaking practices. Look for spicy berry, plum fruit and vanilla flavours on the palate. Pair with mature cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
