I hedged on this wine between 89 and 90 points... definitely 90 if you set the winning conditions: decant 1-2 hours and pair with a juicy steak and great conversation. Aromas of dark fruit and smoke.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: strip steak, grilled portobello mushrooms, lamb burgers,.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Excellent everyday wine definitely punching above its quality level for the price! Aromas of currants, cranberry and black cherry along with oaky smoke and leather. Full bodied, smooth on the palate, and some young tannins, along with some ripe, dried fruit notes and a spicy, dried herb finish. Enjoy with your next Sunday roast beef.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lovely every day wine, the Trius Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 shows great potential for is young age. The wine features aromas of red currant, cranberry, bell pepper, black pepper, leather, spice and oak. Light-bodied, well balanced, with a light and fruity finish, this wine is perfect for food pairing. Palate: red currant, black cherry, violet, dusty, vanilla and cedar. Enjoy!
