Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

From Township 7 Vineyards & Winery, a beautiful clean and crisp 2020 Provenance Series Chardonnay fragrant with ripe apple, pear, fresh peach and a kiss of spice. Dry, medium-bodied, and spot-on-balanced with medium-plus acidity, super fresh with ripe apple, pear, fresh peach, vanilla and citrus zest flavours silky, rounded and lingering on the palate.

Produced from 100% Chardonnay mostly sourced from Hidden Terrace vineyard in Oliver with 25% sourced from other select sites including the winery's Naramata Bench estate vineyard. Half the wine was fermented in previous use French oak barriques with the other half in stainless steel tanks to maintain the wine's fruit freshness and acidity.

Easy to love, and delicious now, but will easily hold to 2025. Under screwcap. Tasted January 2023.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely, fresh, and balanced. This wine was fermented partially in French oak barriques, and part in stainless steel for a nice combination of freshness, plush fruit and body. Aromas of pear and apple with a touch of lemon zest, as well as a slightly creamy citrus note. Enjoy with grilled chicken kebabs or grilled veggies.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
