Cedar-rich with blackberry and smoke on the nose. Beautifully balanced and well-structured Californian Cabernet. Juicy and mouth-watering with seductive aromas of cassis and fleshy blackberry. Pair with a pepper steak.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: beef liver and sautéed onions, grilled chicken breast, breaded lamb cutlets with mint jelly.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Ripe blackberry and vanilla aromas lead into a juicy palate showing ripe red & dark berries, mint, eucalyptus and dark chocolate. Velvety tannins and elegant finish complete the picture. Enjoy with prime rib or roast leg of lamb.

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

So nice to try this side by side with the 2016 as well. This is a beautiful Cab with some of the same cassis, blackberry, cedar, and smoky notes, but this vintage shows more black pepper on the nose rather than mint. Nice and full bodied, bright acidity, smooth tannins, fruit forward on the palate. More warm, smoky notes on the finish, almost a hint of vanilla. Pair with a charcoal grilled steak.
Tom Gore 2015 is a great value smoky Californian Cabernet Sauvignon with ripe blackberry black cherry and dark chocolate flavours on the palate. - Community Wine Reviews
