Toasty, crisp and refreshing yet deep and rich and complex with terrific frothy mousse. Great price for such quality. The vines are planted in the Marne River Valley in chalky, sandy, limestone soils. One third blend comes from the 2008 harvest and the remainder from reserves. This wine was aged on the lees 6 years and disgorged in August 2015 with a dosage 5.8 grams per litre. Pair with fried chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This wine has become a favourite in our house, both from a quality and price point. The equal parts Pinot Noir, Meunier, and Chardonnay means you get the power and subtlety all jammed into one tightly knit, uber dry Champagne. This wine features tons of lemon zest, red currant, nettle, and a touch of that "meunier funk" that distinguishes it from other sparklers across the globe. 92 Points. Drink now through 2025. Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Lemon citrus, apple, pear, lemon peel, almond bitterness and toasted brioche note. Light bodied, high acidity with a touch of limestone at the end. Fine elegant bubbles.
Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Family owned-independent, Champagne growers since 1687. Located in Oeilly, in the Vallée de la Marne. A fine cuvée of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. Tarlant is golden in colour, with an intense pearly mousse, with notes of apple, pear and peach on the nose followed by citrus and toasty flavours. It’s a fresh and rich Champagne with great finesse.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
