Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

An organic blend of 36% Syrah, 34% Cabernet Franc, 15% Carmenére and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon with a burgeoning bouquet of cherries, hardwood smoke and deep forest. This too, echoes on the tongue with flavours of strawberry, red plum and a rocky leather saddle. Overall, medium bodied with bright acidity and velvet laden grippy tannins. Paired this with roast beef au jus. 89 points - tasted January 2020
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Aromas of black cherry, blackberry, and raspberry, with some green herbaceous notes and a spicy hint. Full bodied on the palate, with medium acidity and tannins, with ripe berry flavours and some herbaceous notes on the finish. Enjoy with marinated beef or hearty lentil dishes.
From the Maipo Valley, Tarapaca Gran Reserva Syrah is fragrant with dark cherry, berry and earthy aromas, medium-plus-bodied with juicy cherry, dark berry, plum and spicy flavours on the palate. Produced from organically-grown grapes. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
