Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A superbly crafted Chardonnay from the hands of winemaker Anne Sperling at Southbrook Vineyards in Niagara-on-the-Lake, made using organic and biodynamic viticulture and viniculture. Aromatic with lovely pear, tropical fruit, citrus and butterscotch, echoed on the finely layered palate. Very clean fruit flavours sing throughout. Mouth-watering acidity and elegant finish.

Melanie Aubert rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Loved, loved, loved this delicious chardonnay from Canada's first biodynamic winery. It is called “Wild Ferment” because it uses naturally occurring wild yeast in the fermentation, which gives it an exciting flavour that isn’t at all run-of-the-mill. It is a beautiful golden yellow with incredibly unique aromas of vanilla, cinnamon, candied pineapple, pear, clove, banana yogurt, caramel and butter. Sounds delicious, right? Really looking forward to trying the 2012 vintage, which was released this summer!
