The old vines show their true character, colour and strength in this robust southern French red wine. Full-throttled, black-brooding red wine with aromas of blackberry pie and black raspberry on the nose and palate. Juicy, fleshy black fruit almost explode on the palate. Dark spices and pepper on the finish. Perfect for meat lovers' pizza.

Food pairings: roast pork tenderloin, chicken, meat topped pizza, cheese fondue, fajitas.

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Loaded with lip smacking flavor this full bodied red wine shows lots of ripe dark fruit, currants, cassis and a gaminess that would pair perfectly with cheese and bacon stuffed burgers.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Brambly-blackberry, leather, savoury, rustic, chewy with a hint of tobacco and licorice. Pretty cool. Food pairing? Think venison or boar.
