Sweet mocha and coffee on the nose and palate from generous oak aging of this Californian Pinot. Fleshy ripe, sweet dark cherries and berries. Smooth and supple. Relatively high alcohol but it doesn't taste hot. Pair with grilled chicken.

Pinot Noir food pairings: lamb kabobs, venison burgers, roast veal, beef carpaccio.

Reviews and Ratings

Paul rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Very, very perfumed, but needs a lot of time to open. Beautiful fruit. Not a bomb, which is good. Medium bodied. Long finish.
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Pale garnet-pink the the glass, with aromas of cherries, vanilla and leather. Mouthwarering cherry flavours, and a persistent tartness perfect for cheese and charcuterie boards.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Pale ruby with intense earthy aromas at first sniff into the glass. Red berries, plum, floral, coffee and vanilla. There's inviting characteristics to this wine in the aromas. The palate is light, with medium acidity, smoothing tannins and warming alcohol.
Tasted: January 2016
Winemaker Dennis Martin produces this Pinot Noir with grapes from one of California's best-known vineyards owned by the Miller family, which provides grapes for a number of wineries. Individual blocks of vines have varied clonal selection and vine direction, all within a Maritime cool climate. Martin has worked with the Miller family since 1985. - Community Wine Reviews
