A pleasant, robust Portuguese red wine from the Douro Valley. Not overly aromatic, with some black dried fruit and oak on the nose. This wine is a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Sousao grapes grown on vines planted in shale soils in the demarcated region of the Douro. The wine is aged for 9 months in French oak barriques. Pair with hamburgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Red berries, black pepper and a floral bouquet fill the glass. Wonderful structure of tannin and acidity, perfect for hartier dishes, including barbecue fare, pizza and meat sauce pasta. Enjoy now and over the next 3-7 years.
Tasted February 2017.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lots of ripe dark fruit on the nose and a hint of oak from the wood aging. Well structured and great aging potential on this red from the Douro Valley in Portugal.
What great value wine from the Douro wine region of Portugal. Quinta De Porrais Parcelas (2013) is ripe dark cherries and rich with some oak aging. Vineyards are higher up in the Douro's north plain and that cooler climate translates into fresher more vibrant fruit. This is a solid, structured, textured wine at a great price. - Community Wine Reviews
