Reviews and Ratings

Thomas Bachelder is one of the most respected winemakers in Canada. This is a spectacular Pinot Noir from a great year. Seductive fleshy cherry and cranberry with spice on the nose and palate of this ethereal Ontario Pinot Noir. Pair with veal and game dishes. OTHER: Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review: Garnet with a watery rim and ruby hue. This is a gorgeous Niagara Pinot. Cherry cola, dusty minerality, baking spices and a hint of cranberry. Tangy, tart with mouth-watering acidity. Complex layers on the palate. Medium finish with persistence of cherry cola. Balanced and integrating well. Tasted 2015 vintage in April 2018. Decanted 1h. 92 points. OTHER: Kelly Mason's 2016 pinot noir offers up a truly sensory experience, from fruit picked "crazy early" out of two vineyards, La Colline and Mountainview. These co-conspiratorial tracts have by now become infamous contributions to a wine that's always on the cusp of greatness. It was September 14th and 15th to be precise, after what Mason describes as a several day vineyard walk and taste with her inner voice saying "I've got to get this in." And so it's the one, a 2016 pinot noir of power and elegance. A vintage, a winemaker and two plots of vines that fell into grippy comfort together. You need to taste this. Drink: 2020-2026. Score - 92 (Michael Godel, winealign.com, April 23, 2019). - Community Wine Reviews

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
