Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A Niagara Pinot Noir that is a classic example of "terroir" (Beamsville) that shares similar clay soil found in the Right Bank of Bordeaux. Wild yeast is used to ferment this wine and it presents minerality, dark fruit and spiciness in its aromas. Dry on the palate, medium acidity and tannins with blackberry and mineral tastes. This wine can be aged further, or decant for lamb and duck.
Jisun Hahn CAPS Certified Somm rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Love this wine! An elegant Pinot with notes of fresh bing cherries, savoury spice and hints of cinnamon. An earthiness that adds depth balanced with a mouth watering acidity. The taste lingers. While this wine is ready to enjoy now, the structure and acidity suggests it could also be cellared for the next 5 to 7 years. Serve with duck confit, creamed parsnips and an arugula sour cherry salad.
Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Queylus never fails to deliver. This Pinot is full of black pepper, mulberry, bramble, coriander seed and dried meat characters. Tannins are present so decanting should soften these gently, enhancing this wine's mouthfeel and body. Serve with white wine risotto with grilled field mushrooms @wrightwineblog

Natalie's Review

Queylus Tradition Pinot Noir 2016, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: Another amazing Pinot Noir produced by Thomas Bachelder. This one picked at its peak showing elegance and finesse. Ripe fresh cherry, dried herbs and nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon spice with mouth-watering acidity on the palate. Perfect in every way. Enjoy now and for the next five years.
