Peter Lehmann The Barossan Shiraz 2022 delivers bold character without bruising your wallet—rich and juicy for just $21.95. This Barossa red brims with ripe black cherries, cassis, and a whisper of smoked herbs, unfolding into notes of clove, mocha, and vanilla from a generous swirl in the glass. It's velvety but not flabby, with a backbone of spice that gives it both power and polish. Pair it with pulled pork tacos, a mushroom ragù over creamy polenta, or aged cheddar for a fireside nibble. Peter Lehmann’s legacy is blended into every drop—he famously stood by Barossa’s growers when no one else would, turning excess grapes into iconic wines that now carry the story of resilience and regional pride.

Shiraz food pairings: grilled steak, pan-roasted beef filet and rösti potatoes, cheeseburgers, chicken mole.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas of ripe blackberry, cherry, cedar, black pepper, cloves, and a touch of mocha. Full bodied on the palate, with soft, drying tannins, bright acidity that compliments those rich, ripe to slightly tart berry flavours, cedar, and warm, spicy notes. Finish is quite lengthy and smooth. Enjoy with a grilled beef or pork.
