Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby coloured wine, dry, and balanced. The nose is pronounced and fruity and features black pepper, a dusty herb, red plum, cherry and a cranberry note that evolves over time. On the palate the spice and a slight woody, herby note comes to the forefront along with cherry and plum. A very pleasant wine that would work well with peppery beef dishes or on its own.
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Pretty shade of dark cherry red, this Merlot shows abundant notes of ripe blueberry, plum, and cinnamon spice. Fruity palate with pleasing oak spice. Impressive tannins for Merlot, full yet rounded, matched well to good acidity and a full body. Finish persists nicely. Try alongside blue cheese burgers or portobello Wellingtons.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely! Aromas of plum, blueberry and black cherry, along with hints of warm spice and smoky hints. Full bodied, smooth on the palate, with soft tannins, and ripe, plush berries, and a smoky finish. Enjoy with any slow roasted meats.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep garnet in the glass. A delightful peppery nose. Lots of bramble fruit on the palate. Soft, chalky tannins on a long finish. This one is easy to love! Try it with BBQ pizza or spicy pasta dishes. Tasted June 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
From Perseus Estate Winery, the 2016 Merlot is sourced from two vineyards in the Okanagan Valley, from Oliver and from the Similkameen. Dry, medium-plus-bodied with juicy ripe dark plum, cherry earthy spices and savoury herb flavours on the palate. Lovely full mouth feel. Well done! The winery was named after the Perseus constellation and is visible from the estate during the harvest season. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
