Campfire hickory smoke on the nose with a savoury, meaty weave through the palate. Charred black fruit. So seductive, so rich and full-bodied, yet also so balanced. Pair with a rare, juicy steak.

Shiraz food pairings: lamb cutlets, hamburgers, espresso and cocoa-rubbed flank steak, black bean soup, cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

An opaque dark garnet gem, fragrant with aromas of blackberry and Damson plum jam, baking spices, vanilla, black licorice and meaty elements. The palate presents mainly plum and black licorice with pepper and smoke. It's full-bodied and finely balanced with a lingering licorice finish. A wine for a windy night and a fireplace.
Tasted May 2016

made of 100% Shiraz (also know as Syrah)

The color is deep purple.

The nose is very fruity (blackberry, cherry, strawberry) with a touch of spice and oak.

The wine is soft, rich, balanced and long.

excellent to match grilled red meat.
