Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This fresh white is an unoaked Chardonnay. Aromas of green apple and pineapple, with hints of lemon-lime. Medium bodied, dry, with fresh, ripe fruit on the palate and a clean, lingering finish. Medium+ acidity. This is an unoaked wine that still has nice body and also tons of flavour. Enjoy with any fish or chicken dishes.
Lori Kilmartin - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A crisp, fresh and easy drinking unoaked Chardonnay! The Palatine Hills Winery has been around and family owned for 40 years. Located in Niagara-on-the-Lake and with two generations at the helm they are producers of icewine and red and white wines.

Citrus and fresh apple are predominant on the nose with underlying saline. Again the apple is most dominant on the palate along with the citrus (lime/lemon) notes. With no oak the acidity is sharp and bright. Light to medium bodied with a medium finish.
Pair with lightly herbed chicken or grilled fish with a dash of lemon.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
