Natalie's Score: 89/100

A very tannic wine with a firm grip on the palate. This should smooth out with cellar time and 1-2 hours decanting. A juicy, black-fruited Spanish red wine from the region of Navarra. Purple and black plum aromas on the nose with a savoury note on the finish. This will do well in the cellar for a few years. Pair with grilled pork chops.

Food pairings: barbecued meats, stews featuring beef and root veggies.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is full bodied with lovely flavors of strawberry, cherry, vanilla, baking spice, smoke, and leather. Silky and rich with lovely tannins and noted oak on the spicy dark fruit finish.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A floral fruit forward aromatic Spanish red (Tempranillo-Cabernet blend) with juicy red plum, cherry, stewed strawberry and anise flavours. Tannins are chewy and balanced by a long juicy acidity. Enjoy with braised beef short ribs. Tasted by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon, this red from Navarra, Spain grips your palate and begs for a red meat accompaniment. You'll find lots of fruit come through on the aromas and flavours with dark cherry and berry jam dominating, followed by notes of leather and tobacco. A great choice to add to your cellar and enjoy in 2-3 more years.
From the Navarra wine region in Spain, Palacio De Sada Crianza (2013) is made from mostly Grenache wine grapes from 40 year old vines, and is pronounced ripe red and black plum and savoury spice on the nose and very juicy black fruit on the palate. Could cellar for a few years to show its best and great value under $20. - Community Wine Reviews
