The fruit for this Niagara Chardonnay comes from 25 year-old vines grown on St David's Bench. The wine is aged in 10% new French oak and undergoes 15% malolactic fermentation to add richness yet preserve fruit purity and a zing. Aromas of green apple. Full-bodied. Pair with roast chicken. Named after the Paul Anka song ;)

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A nice level of power in this Chardonnay - not too much, not too little - just perfectly crafted in that regard. Finishes with a noted charred oakiness which lingers long. Perfect for BBQ because "smoke goes with oak".
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lovely! Smooth and also crisp, aromas of green apple, honey butter and pear. Smooth on the palate balanced acidity, citrus fruit, and a hint of honeyed spice. Enjoy with chicken or creamy dishes.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

An interesting crisp delicate and lightly oaked Chardonnay from Megalomanic wines. Aromas of golden apple, stone fruit and green mango. Flavours reveal toasted almonds, ripe peaches, banana chips and buttery yellow bell pepper veggie notes. Fresh basil also present. Acidity is medium with a balanced medium(-) body and finish. A suitable pairing for grilled shrimp or toasted almonds. 88 points
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Stone fruit aromas and flavors with some honey, cream and citrus on the palate. A nice easy drinking chardonnay. Reviewed March 2018 at Taste Ontario Ottawa.
