Reviews and Ratings

Mary Anne van Gaal rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This a beautifully lush Carmenere Syrah blend. The deep ruby colour gives way to aromas of dark berries and tobacco. It's smoothness is enhanced by ripe cherry, green peppercorn and vanilla. Wonderful paired with roast pork or chicken. Great value at $15.95 a bottle.
From Chile's Elquí Valley, the grapes that make up the 55% Carmenère and 45% Syrah red wine blend for Mayu Reserva (2014) were vinified separately in stainless steel tan and then aged in French oak barrels for almost one-half year. Lots of cracked black pepper on the finish -- just great with a beefy, grilled flat-iron steak. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
