Founders John and Adrianna Marynissen planted the vines for these vinifera grapes back in 1975, and so they were among the first of producers to plant and make Chardonnay in Niagara. This vibrant Niagara white wine is a mostly Chardonnay, but also includes some Chardonnay Musqué which gives it a lift and floral note. Very balanced and medium-bodied. Pair with roast turkey or chicken.

Chardonnay food pairings: chicken Alfredo, seafood, vegetarian dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Delightful aromatics with baked apple, pineapple, apricot, white florals. Rich, creamy palate with mineral and smoky touches. Very elegant. Enjoy with roast pork tenderloin.

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Super happy with this value wine from Marynissen. They continue to impress me with their price-quality ratio. One of the best in NOTL. This wine has lovely notes of golden delicious apple, tropical fruits, white stone fruit and pressed flowers. Smooth, long finish. 90 Points. (www.ottawawinejournal.com)
John and Adrianna Marynissen began growing vinifera grapes in 1975, and were one of the earliest grape growers of Chardonnay vines in Niagara. This wine includes some Chardonnay Musqué, different from Chardonnay and showing baked apple, ripe pear and stonefruit with some tropical notes and white flowers -- lots of nose here and an elegant palate of same finishing with some minerality. - Community Wine Reviews
