Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A wonderful example of Carmenere from Chile, blackberry and pepper on the aromas with the typical bell pepper on the palate. A smoky, spicy finish that will pair well with roasted lamb and roasted vegetables.
Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Classically styled Carmenere showing fresh capsicum, jalapeno pepper and a slight earthiness on the nose, with loads of red and black fruit on the palate with some cinnamon spice. 10 to 12 months in French and American oak. Great value, easy drinking. Try with tomato, olive and mozzarella meatballs. @wrightwineblog
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Selection de Familia Gran Reserva Carmenere 2018, from Luis Felipe Edwards, is harvested in the Colchagua Valley of Chile. The wine shows aromas of black plum, raspberry, green bell pepper, slate, sweet tobacco and sandalwood. Medium body with an agreable balance, and a long and fruity finish. Palate: cherry, raspberry, white pepper, caramel and sandalwood. Enjoy.
From the Colchagua Valley, Luis Felipe Edwards Selección De Familia Gran Reserva 2018 is a solid Carmenère with ripe dark fruit, blueberry, mulberry, tomato leaf and smoky black pepper flavours on the palate. Viña Luis Felipe Edwards is one of Chile's largest and well-known wine families. Pair with BBQ beef ribs. - Community Wine Reviews
