Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A tremendous amount of thought goes into the wines in Lighthall's lineup. Production is very small, as is the circulation of their products in commercial retail outlets. They're family owned and operated. According to the proprietors, the Vidal grapes used were late harvested. Production method was charmat.
The colour is medium lemon-yellow. The colour has a touch of oxidation, as it has some orangey hues developing. The aromas are just as pretty. Burning candle, honey, bruised apple, cinnamon and nutmeg, marmalade, and banana.
The flavours are quite compelling too. Excellent fizz. Persistent even after a few minutes. Juices apple, kiwi, marmalade, honey, and brown spice.
Pair with barbecued swordfish.
Highly recommended.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A wonderful boutique winery in Prince Edward County, I tried the progression a couple of years back and this vintage that I tasted at #CountyintheCapital was just as pretty as I remembered.

Delicate and fresh with green apple, wildflower honey, apple blossom and refreshing minerality. Pair with oysters or brunch.
Lori Kilmartin - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a light bodied delicate sparkling wine made with the vidal grape. Citrus notes on the nose and peach and apricot flavours. The limestone soil the vines are grown in lend lots of minerality. Serve well chilled on the patio while relaxing on the patio! Tasted April 20, 2016.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
